Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

By using the Foster Health website or purchasing any of our programs, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before booking a consultation or enrolling in a program.

1. About Foster Health

Foster Health is a behaviour change practice. We guide adults in midlife to build lasting healthy behaviours through small habits, practical tools, and guided support. Our programs are delivered by Eileen Patterson, Founder of Foster Health.

2. Coaching is not medical care

This is an important distinction. Foster Health provides health coaching and behaviour change support — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Our programs are designed to complement the care you receive from your doctor and healthcare team. They do not replace medical advice, and nothing shared in a Foster Health program should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical guidance.

If you are managing a chronic condition, please continue to follow the advice of your physician and healthcare providers. Before making significant changes to your medication, diet, or physical activity, speak with your doctor.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not contact Foster Health in place of emergency services.

3. Who our programs are designed for

Foster Health programs are intended for adults who are ready to work on their health habits and self-management with dedicated support. Our programs are not designed to treat acute medical conditions or replace clinical care.

We reserve the right to decline enrollment or discontinue working with a participant if we determine that our services are not appropriate for their current health situation.

4. Your responsibilities

By enrolling in a Foster Health program, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your health history and current conditions

  • Continue following the advice of your medical team throughout your program

  • Notify us if your health situation changes significantly during a program

  • Engage with the program in good faith and take responsibility for the choices you make

You understand that lasting behaviour change takes time and commitment, and that results will vary from person to person. Foster Health cannot guarantee specific health outcomes.

5. Cancellations and refunds

We understand that life with a chronic condition can be unpredictable. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be fair while reflecting the time and preparation that goes into each program.

  • Consultations: Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling without an additional fee.

  • Programs: Refund eligibility depends on when you withdraw relative to the program start date. Full details are provided at the time of enrollment.

  • Retreats: Retreat cancellations are subject to specific terms communicated at the time of registration, as retreat spaces are limited and costs are committed in advance.

To discuss a cancellation or refund, contact us at [email address] as early as possible.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Foster Health website and within our programs — including written materials, worksheets, frameworks, and recordings — is the intellectual property of Foster Health and Eileen Patterson.

You may use program materials for your own personal health goals. You may not reproduce, share, distribute, or sell Foster Health content without prior written permission.

7. Limitation of liability

Foster Health and Eileen Patterson are not liable for any health outcomes, losses, or adverse effects that arise from participation in our programs or use of information on our website.

You participate in Foster Health programs at your own discretion. We strongly encourage all participants to consult with their healthcare team before beginning any new health routine.
