Dr. Foster spent more than 40 years researching the links between "health, nutrition and the geographical environment." He was a recognized expert in disaster planning, consulting for the UN, NATO and various governments. He has authored or edited over 300 publications, many focused on reducing disaster losses and identifying the causes of chronic degenerative and infectious diseases. In the mid 1980s, his focus shifted specifically to health and diseases, where Dr. Foster established pioneering work in the area of Medical Geography that lead to major breakthroughs in how to address metabolic deficiencies responsible for the progression of many diseases.
Starting in 2004, a series of medical trials were conducted based on his research into the geographical correlations seen with HIV/AIDS, focusing on the nutritional deficiencies caused by the virus and the disease. The significant findings resulted in the necessity for the formation of Foster Health Inc. in 2008.
Dr Harold Foster suddenly and tragically passed away on August 15th, 2009. A foundation, the Harold Foster Foundation, has been set up to continue his legacy of improving the health of animals and humans by addressing metabolic deficiencies with micronutrient therapy and orthomolecular principles.
