Foster Health Exhibits at the Orthomolecular Conference

Foster Health joined many other exhibitors this past weekend at the 29th Orthomolecular Medicine Today Annual International Conference in Vancouver BC.

The Orthomolecular Medicine Today Conference is a continuing education event for MDs, NDs, PhDs and other health professionals.  Every year 15 leading physicians and researchers present sessions on current advances in orthomolecular psychiatry, oncology, pediatrics and general medicine.

The Conference is organized by the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine (ISOM), the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, and the International Schizophrenia Foundation (ISF). The ISOM was founded in 1994 to bring together orthomolecular groups established throughout the world in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The ISF is a non-profit charitable organization, federally chartered in 1968, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of disease, concentrating on schizophrenia, depression, children’s learning and behavioural disorders, and aging. The research initially done on nutrition in relation to mental health has expanded over the years to all areas of health care from cardiovascular to cancer, from AIDS to Alzheimer’s. This work has been published for over forty years in the quarterly Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine.

The activities of the ISF include a professional and public information program and publishing Nutrition & Mental Health, the official quarterly newsletter of the ISF. Together, ISOM, the Journal and the ISF sponsor public and professional education including the Orthomolecular Medicine Today Conference, now in its 39th year.  For more information please visit http://www.orthomed.org/.
